CB FABRICATING MANAGEMENT TEAM
Chris Barkdull | President & Founder
For owner and president Chris Barkdull founding CB Fabricating in 2007 was the natural outcome of more than 30 years of experience in the sheet metal industry. An innovative and tenacious problem-solver, Chris works continually to improve designs and processes, creating solutions that make end products better. He sets high standards for himself and his employees, generating success for his company and its clients through an unfailing commitment to excellence in all facets of the business.
A Madison County Indiana native, after graduating from Pendleton Heights High School, Chris attended Anderson University majoring in business and marketing. He began working with his parents’ company, Pendleton Welding, Inc., as a teenager and was instrumental in the purchase of CNC equipment to expand their services. Chris also honed his skills at Pendleton Technologies, Inc., for many years before founding CB.
Chris supports his community through work with Second Helpings Food Bank, Fire Rescue House, the PCF Work Release Program, and other organizations as well as being active in his local church. A devoted family man, he has a beautiful wife, three sons, a stepdaughter, and three grandchildren, all of whom he keeps on their toes with his relentless jokes and pranks.
Jim Carr | Engineer
With more than 35 years’ experience and a passion for metal fabrication, Jim has worked in all facets of the industry. At CB Fabricating he can most often be found programming parts to be run on any of the machines but can fill almost any role in a pinch. Jim and Chris often work together brainstorming creative solutions to client design issues to make the best parts they can for their customers.
A Muncie, Indiana native, Jim attended Muncie Burris High School and went on to Indiana University where he majored in Education. His career in the metal fabrication industry has including selling tools to fabricators, production management, product engineering, design, design for manufacture, and developing continuous improvement processes. He continually works to upgrade his skills, most recently completing in-depth training on the newest addition to the CB production floor, the Amada FO MII 3015 NT Laser Flex Cell.
Jim is married with two daughters and one grandson. When he is not working, Jim can most often be found boating and off-roading in nice weather or in his woodworking and metalworking shop honing his non-laser assisted craftsmen skills.
